Total water production of the Spumador Group totals 1.1 billion litres a year (two-thirds mineral water, one third soft drinks) and turnover increased by 7.4% to €150mn in 2006.

Spumador Group has 4 production facilities in Italy: Lomazzo-Caslino al Piano (CO), Sant’Andrea (PR), Spinone al Lago (BG) and Quarona Sesia (VC) and a total of 22 production lines.
Our products embrace all sectors of the non non-alcoholic beverage categories: mineral water, carbonated soft drinks, functional drinks, sports drinks, isotonic and fruit juices.

Our intensive research allows for many innovative products such as our functional drink SanAttiva, made of soy vitamins and fruits, as well as VitaMine-dor, the only orange based beverage in Europe with vitamins and minerals that do not decompose over time.

Spumador Group employs over 400 people, 350 of which are based in the historical headquarters at Lomazzo-Caslino al Piano.

The private equity fund of Lehman Brothers entered into a partnership with the Spumador owners in September 2005 taking a 76% share of the Company’s capital.

Share Composition

After the acquisition of Spumador Group, Lehman Brothers is working to maintain the traditions of the Verga and Colombo families, founders of the Group over 110 years ago, and who still retain a 24% stake in the Group.
